My horse, Little Jowe stops and starts on command. I can get him from a stand still to a full gallop just by saying "yah!" or clicking my tongue. I can pull him back to a halt by just saying ''woah''. Haha. Jealous much? If I could turn him with voice commands, I wouldn't need legs or reins! XD
Jowe can jump over a metre, which is pretty damn high for him, since he's only 14.2hh, and an ex-pacing Standardbred, but he's got great form. I brought that horse for $400, I reckon I could sell him for over $2000, not that I ever would. I think he'd blitz Pony Club if I took him there these days. Not the fanciest horse in the world, but he is willing.

Tell me something awesome about your horse.

now, after two years of me riding him once a week, and another girl riding him occasionally, and his owner causing various set backs whenever she rode him (thankfully, not often) he has improved SO MUCH! he's nice and soft on your hands, he's very polite in the barn, watches where he's stepping (no more broken toes, yay!). He follows me into the barn, no lead rope required (carrots do amazing things, i'm telling you). He picks up his feet without asking him to whenever i bend over (as long as i always do them in the same order. lol). he puts his head down for the bridle (still doesn't open for the bit without me putting my thumb in his mouth, but he doesn't fight with me about it anymore). he 99% of the time gets the right lead, is starting to learn leg yield, though i still have to boot him to get him to understand left leg=move right, but i can circle him without any reins at all just by turning my body and using steady pressure on the outside leg. that was a HUGE development, i'm telling you, and i fawned over him for like 10 minutes when he did it the first time. he takes all his jumps nice and easy, even if i miscue him somehow (when he's not refusing them, that is). he still has his difficult, high-strung moments, but i'm so proud of all the improvement he's made in such a short time, especially considering he's only being ridden once or twice a week at the most, and every time his owner rides him he goes back to his old pain-in-the-ass ways. he's perfect for me, despite how difficult he can be sometimes. i learned more in that first year riding him than i had in the 3 years i'd ridden previously.
