This is my entry for #The-spirit-of-Spirit’s contest (I hope I’m not too late! ), and yeah, this is Sterling. He’s the youngest Wranglers horses (the one who got hit in the head with the boot, lol) and yup, here he is! He’s looking a bit chubby here, perhaps out of work for the winter. Anyway, enjoy.

Personality: Happy to work and loves to run, loves his owner, Joe. Well behaved and has no desire to be anything more than a wrangler’s horse.
Markings: Socks on forelegs, Star.
History: Sterling was foaled at a large farm in Outback Australia and was sent to a yearling sale when he came of age. He was brought by an old farmer, who broke him in and rode him on his cattle station for two years before shipping him off to his cousin in America who needed a solid horse for mountain work. Ending up in the out west, Sterling saw his first wild horses. At first glance, Sterling thought they were on a big farm, like the one he was born on, but soon realized that these horses were free. It didn’t faze him, and when he discovered that his new owner, Joe made a living out of catching and selling wild Mustangs, it damaged his heart slightly. Sterling thought that what was free should stay free, but since he never had been, he never wanted to be one of them.
When Sterling isn’t helping Joe catch wild Mustangs all over the country, he spends his time messing around in his paddock and giving Joe’s children joy rides around the stables. Joe’s children love him and always give him lots of love and attention, and love to plait his mane and tail.
