Her final breath, although she did not know it, had been taken. The pain in her neck had distracted her momentarily as the two bodies plunged down with a violent rate. Twisting and kicking, she could feel her flesh tearing, but the stallion did not let go. She had been caught, she had no air in her lungs and she breathed in water. It filled her stomach, her lungs; it crushed her body from every direction. The grey stallion was underneath her, dragging her down deeper and deeper. The surface was a mile away, but in which direction? Only isolation existed here. She knew they were deeper than where the fish lived, deeper than the core of the earth. Nothing should survive here, and nothing will.

This is my entry for ~QueenOfGoldfishes’s “Nightmare” competition. I had a hard long think about this, because these days, especially for me, not much is truly scary when you dream. One thing, though, is drowning in your sleep. If you’ve dreamt about drowning as pro as me, you’d understand it’s a pretty freaky thing. I feel like when I wake, I’ve been holding my breath for an age. I wake up in a cold sweat and a cloud of confusion hangs over. I once dreamt I went off a cliff and I woke up just as I hit the water and it was... indescribable. I reckon what would be worse, and I reckon I’d have dreamt of this too, is if someone pulled you down.

Headbang, ~QueenOfGoldfishes’s mare looks more than capable of holding her own, so this is why I chose Vladis to take her down. Murc would be more close to Headbang’s build, but Vladis has the true firey attitude that he’d need to bury a horse in crushing waters. If you look closely, or at the 100% detail picture you can see a cloud of blood, as where Vladis has gotten hold of her neck.

Haha, oh god. Look, all my painstaking hours has practically gone to waste, because you can see next to no detail. Oh well.
